Friday night downtown Chicago

Walked 4.5 miles to downtown Chicago on a beautiful Friday night, after a very much needed low key day. We decided to postpone Milwaukee by one day, so we will see them play tomorrow night instead. Thanks again to Chas McFadden for sharing his place with us.

Thanks for sharing!! Very interested in your cross country trip; hopefully Omi and the "G" will be taking one in the near future!!!

The Origin

The Origin
How did we get here? We’re trying to figure that out!
Bill says it’s from a having a pipe dream to totally acting on a whim, but more to come from Bill later…he’s driving right now. For me, it’s about trying to live life to the fullest and make the best of what life has to offer us…and being fortunate enough to do it, and having someone special to share it with.
There was a decent amount of planning – Excel spreadsheets of baseball home schedules and a marked up wall map, house and pet arrangements, bill paying – but we did try to keep it open and flexible for spontaneity. Nothing could have prepared us for the week leading up to the departure - a lot of hours of hard work (especially Bill!), a talking viral computer and hours of time on the phone with Dell (me), a broken down Maxima, and a nearly lost wallet/iPhone at Marshall’s. You expect stress when preparing for vacation, but this was just crazy…
Either way we are on the journey of a lifetime…we hope to share some of it with all of you - our friends and family. Without some of you, this would never have been possible – so again, THANK YOU!
